if powers doesn't play as it looks like he wont jennings playing causes me plenty of concern. hopefully he doesn't get matched up with braylon on one of the deep attempts that the jets like to run as it could be one of the big plays that could kill us. of course he could just drop it anyway but it is a bit of a concern - buzz

fears and not so many fears

Couple of random thoughts (not 18 and not as well written) the night before
1) If the Jets move Revis around like they did on chargers instead of locking him on wayne manning will have a field day. He isnt going to get fooled by the same trickery that rivers did and he will target wayne consistently when revis is off of him. I think the jets will try this to a degree but will probably learn and limit it later in the game.

2)Im not as afraid of the run game as the MSM seems to think we should be. Seems weird coming from the colts but this run defense is solidly good. I would be surprised if the Jets go over 4.2 ypc. They may get 120 yards but that will be due to a lot of carries.
3) To get those big yards rushing they should rush up the middle. Jones and Greene aren't fast enough to get around our speed.
4) Would be a big help to get help on at least 3 big plays from run game. Whether that is a TD from a few yards out or a 10+ yard run that would go a long way in securing a win.
5)How the run game converts on 3rd down will be huge.
6)I think the jets need to give a lot of blitz looks and drop most back into coverage. Especially to try to disrupt some of the over the middle short passes we run. This seemed pretty open for the chargers but they couldn't take advantage of it.
7) The brad smith "tiger cat" will not work at all. I hope they try it 5+ times. Obviously any play can work any given time but i don't see this having any type of success rate against the speed of our defense. Same with all the sanchez roll outs they run. I can see him getting blown up on at least one of those if they run a couple tomorrow.
8) I expect the defense to keep the jets offense in check. I'm kind of thinking 3 fgs. Im a little more concerned about the offense (yes there is a first time for everything) so i will go with 17 for them. If we play 100 times i think the average score is probably 23-16 and we win about 75% of the time. But the biggest issue could be the big play. If the Jets have 2 more big plays than us it is going to be a battle and then some. - buzz

I love the smell of napalm in the morning, it smells like victory.

More confident than yesterday, Colts 24 - Jets 13. Jets will only score 6 real points and pick up a garbage touchdown near the end. - Merr

"Never stop! Never stop fighting 'til the fight is done ..."

Or read it in Manning's voice as he's left the field after all of the victories this year, esp. the come from behind.

Big props Bob for pulling out one of my all time favorites. - m@chu

Just like a Dago to bring a knife to a gunfight.
(Must be read with Connery's voice in your head)

24-9 or 24-10...can't decide if they score a TD or not.

I'll split the diff: 24-9.5 - Bob M

I feel sorry for the Jets fans who have followed old Rex Ryan on this 'damn-fool idealistic crusade'...

The Indy offense can make point-five past light speed. It might not look like much, but they've got it where it counts.

DZ: "It's not wise to blitz Peyton Manning.."

JETSfan: "But, no one worries about blitzing Mark Sanchez-"

DZ: "That's because Mark Sanchez doesn't have a 100+ QB rating against the blitz... Manning is known to do that."

JETSfan: "I see your point.. I suggest a new strategy Rex, let the Manning win"

Okay okay, I'm done... - Garrison
