With 1:12 to go in the game, Manning threads a perfect pass between three Pats defenders to Reggie Wayne who makes the catch for the go ahead touchdown.

The Pats return the ill advised squib kick to the 45. Tom Brady, facing a completely decimated Colts secondary, finds Wes Welker for 35 yards after Pierre Garcon fell down trying to back pedal. On the next play, Brady lofts what he is certain is the game winning pass to the incomprable Randy Moss in the end zone. From no where, Reggie Wayne, now sporting a red cape, outduels Moss for the ball. Colts win! Colts win!

Well, at least we know Bullitt will fill in just fine. And our rookie corners seem like they'll be able to hold their own until Hayden gets back. Still blows that Hayden's gone during our toughest stretch though. - 35er

I understand all that, DZ. And I am extremely appreciative of what Bob does for us in the playoffs, especially the year we won the SB. Maybe I should have said I'm getting sick of all the injuries. That's probably more accurate for how I'm feeling anyways. There's nothing you can do about it so I suppose I shouldn't be complaining. It just seems like we get hit hard with the injury bug year after year so it gets tiring after a while for me. But in no way do I feel like Bob is soft. - 35er

The Gonzo-lator pulls a "Clark in 2006" and returns for a game or two at the end to prep for the playoffs. He'd be 2-3 weeks (maybe, just MAYBE for the Pats?) if he was in football shape, but he's been out for a while now and probably not practicing at full speed yet. - Bob M

Bob Sanders was injured the day he was drafted. Injuries are why he fell to the second round. All his injuries are legit, so why be frustrated. He's not a wuss. He's a zombie. He has body parts hanging off all the time, and then he comes out of the grave and kills people.

He missed almost all of 2006 and then changed everything. There's no point worrying about Bob until January. - DZ

Man, I swear... the Colts are cursed injury-wise. And I don't think Gonzo will be back this year at all. Even if he could recover in time, it might be better if he just IR'd and got fully healthy for next year. I can't see how missing this many games would mean anything less than being badly rusty and only marginally productive, no matter when he comes back.

Gawd... this sucks. - A.J.

I'm guessing but I think Gonzo probably won't be back until late in the season. Hopefully he can get a couple games to knock the rust off before the playoffs start.
Josh. Polian is probably thinking that Thomas was probably a better option than many of the other free agent defensive players out there. He has been here in the system, so if/when he plays it should be a fairly seamless transition.
If they used that slot on a free agent DB, the guy would spend all of his time polishing the bench with his butt anyway. - Dave_H
