That game was on Brady, pure and simple.

I'm not a sure-fire homer bitch like this whole site.

He had open guys early that would have been scores, he missed them, we lost.

It's on him.

Fuck off. - J.C.

RE: fair catch. The penalty was NOT for not giving the guy enough room. I'm ok with that. What's not ok, is penalizing a guy for grabbing a football that's been bobbled out a half yard away from the returner's body. - DZ

With respect to leaving Lewis unblocked, he was playing over the backside guard who pulled. In most schemes, LBs are taught to follow the pulling guard so SD likely would have had someone from the front side scraping back to block him but he shot the gap perfectly, got penetration on the backside and was fast enough to make the play. I wouldn't knock SD so much for lack of blocking as you really can't think anyone will be able to make that read and basically arrive in the backfield at the time the handoff is being made. Amazing play! - cleanface

Does anyone know what the real story is between Brees and his mother. I mean, he may have a very good reason, but how do you trust a son who doesn't get along with his mother? - Doug England

I don't agree with u on the fair catch rule. What's the point of a fair catch if you aren't given full clearance to catch the ball. The defender was half a yard off of the returner so close that he was able to immediately grab the bobble. If u don't make contact with the ground the threshold u might as well get rid of fair catches. - Westside Rob

Brees got me to root for Purdue, which if you know me, is amazing. Really hoping he throws 51. - DemondSanders

A few thoughts of my own.
1. Pretty pretentious to have Jerry Jones' new stadium compared to all the wonders of the modern world. Egotistical much?
2. Where the hell is JC to come talk smack about how if it was "Jethro" playing in that game it would have been 76 - 0 Jets?
3. Last week P. Rivers cemented my hate for him by taunting a defender on the field and then trying to lie about it. He acts like a thug, instead of a role model.
4. I am sure that CHFF will still ride the Pats train with extra excuses packed away in their collective proverbial luggages.
5. I had the pleasure of meeting Drew Brees last 2 years ago and I must say, he is a fine gentleman. Being from Indiana he willingly engaged me in conversations about his time at Purdue. I hope he keeps it up and wins the MVP. Or even 51+ TDs (which would guarantee the MVP anyway)
6. Scary, the Jets haven't allowed an offensive TD this season.
7. Can't wait for tomrrow noon (for me it's noonish for kickoff, Japan)

You could have also been playing against that RB from Cal and his 5 TDs (or the Bengals D--5 sacks by one guy).

Nice to see Ray Lewis still knifing through the gaps without having to pay for it. This wasn't in Atlanta, but some things never change. The Chargers have allowed a lot of pts, same for the Ravens. The Jets and Broncos have been mighty stingy. Drew Brees--on an MVP vengeance tear. Good to see Tom Brady just wins (and carries his team, as noted) and Phil Rivers racking up a mile of passing in a loss. And Jerry Jones christens his new home with an L.

Not dancing yet (I'll save that for tomorrow night), but all in all, a fine day in the NFL. - Bob M

The Titans are falling back to Earth at warp speed. And the Jags got smoked by the Cards, who one week ago looked lost against San Fran. Thr dumpster is alight - Anonguy
