Russ Parnell is the Jags' ST coach? Well, looks like things will become a little easier in that third of the game. - Anonguy

Because you wouldn't be looking for it. But I'm sure you'll read any piece where Kerry Byrne mentions the Colts.

Jags Season

I know they want to rebound after last season's disaster. They have a real axe to grind. Figuratively speaking, of course.

I'm curious to see how MJD holds up as the main man for an entire season. I'm also curious if our defense can stop that bowling ball this time around.

We need to win our divisional games, especially the home ones. Big game... - coltsfanawalt

RE: Addai haters and MJD...there was a dude on IFR who whined about it incessantly.

Re: Addai and three straight years. You are correct. I should have said their YPC has declined OVER three straight seasons instead of for three straight seasons. Everyone knew what I meant though, as both men have only played three years total.

Re: Titans line...I thought it looked lost in the fourth quarter of that game. They got little pressure against what isn't a great O-line. - DZ

I think the thing they'll miss is Fat Albert being able to maul the interior and keep the DTs fresh.

At least there's nothing scary under center for them. - Anonguy

Actually I think we learned a lot about the Titans line. They looked fine at first, but when the game was on the line in the fourth quarter they consistently failed to get pressure with a four man rush.

I thought it was fairly damning, but it was the first game. They'll win their share of games. Probably 10 or 11 wins, but I don't see a lot of blowouts in their future. - DemondSanders

Technically, Addai's YPC hasn't declined for three consecutive years. A graph of his YPC would be descending over three data points, but really his YPC has only declined for two consecutive years.

And if it declines again this year, it'll be the third consecutive year. And he'll be in BIG trouble. - ColtsHeadBen

A few things

1. I'll hold judgment on the post-Fat Albert Titans when they play an NFL ready offensive line, not just a bunch of unathletic fatties who snuck onto the team bus and blackmailed Big Ben into getting them job. Kinda has only something to do with us, since it'd be nice for some regression on the Titans.

2. The Jags are going to be epically bad this year. Let's hope Wayne Weaver has some nasty skeletons JDR knows of, or we might see someone of middiling competance calling the shots. If they don't move and wind up with a high enough pick, think they'd sell the farm to pick up Urban Meyer and draft Tebow in an effort to drag Gators fans to the games?

3. I don't think taking Eben Britton would have helped anything. In fact, we'd be back to where we started with an untested rookie protecting Peyton's blindside again. Ugoh may not be All Pro, but at least he keeps 18 clean enough use that quick release.

4. I'm surprised there hasn't been more grumbling from the Addai haters about why we didn't take MJD before him. Just sayin', if you want to be all hindsight about it, why not go full out?

5. Rashean Mathis is the most overrated cornerback ever. All he does is get away with PIs and returns a few ducks for picks. It'll be cathartic if Reggie lights him up en route to starting the dumpster fire in Jville.

6. I'll be the voice of dissent and say Collie/Garcon combined will probably outpreform Robinson or Tamme individually. And after Gijon's epic whiff on 3rd and 2 in the postseason last year, I'm squemish of him having to block of any extended period of time that isn't a run. - Anonguy

First I get my favorite part of the year (the season projections), then an excellent NFL opener that had the Titans losing in a thrilling game to the Steelers in overtime, and finally "Eyes" returns! Is it my birthday? It sure feels like it. - Cass

matched against primarily Mathis I suspect. However the guy I really wanted was Oher, who buy the way is listed as the starting RT for the Ravens. I'm not sure if he won that spot or was handed it but he seemed like a perfect Colt to me. The Colts would have had to trade up to get him, but we've shown that we are willing to do that for starting a player with starting OT potential. - Westside-Rob
