Phil B: Freeney should take Angerer to Hawaii

Phillip B. Wilson believes Dwight Freeney should take a little extra luggage to Hawaii:

But to be completely honest … Angerer is the most deserving Colts player of Pro Bowl consideration. The second-year pro who stepped in as defensive captain when Gary Brackett got hurt in the season opener has been nothing short of heroic.

Sure, Pro Bowl spots are often based on reputation. It’s often said a player must establish himself one year, then he goes the next. That means Angerer, whose 137 tackles rank fourth in the NFL, should get to go next year. And he’ll know his way around if Freeney gives his teammate the tour.
