The owners risk the judge's wrath

The NFL Players Association, whose decertification and Brady v. NFL antitrust lawsuit caused the negotiations to move into court, jumped at the chance to agree to Nelson’s proposal of settlement.
“We take your comments regarding protecting the parties’ positions to heart,’’ the letter read. “As class counsel on behalf of the Brady class, we think this is an excellent suggestion and are prepared to engage in such mediation without delay.’’
